How GPA is calculated
Your GPA is the credit-weighted average of your grade points. Multiply each subject's grade point by its credit hours, add them together, then divide by the total credit hours: GPA = ฮฃ(grade point ร credit) รท ฮฃ(credit).
Example GPA calculation
For Mathematics (A, 3), English (B+, 3) and Science (A, 4): (3.6ร3) + (3.2ร3) + (3.6ร4) = 10.8 + 9.6 + 14.4 = 34.8, divided by 10 credit hours = GPA 3.48.
