About the Bikram Sambat calendar
Bikram Sambat (BS) is the official calendar of Nepal and runs roughly 56 years and 8 months ahead of the Gregorian (AD) calendar. Each BS month varies between 29 and 32 days, so month lengths are computed from an accurate conversion table rather than a fixed rule.
