Adding vs removing VAT
In Add VAT mode the amount is treated as the net (pre-VAT) figure and VAT is added on top. In Remove VAT mode the amount is treated as the gross (VAT-inclusive) figure and the net is worked back out as gross ÷ (1 + rate ÷ 100).
VAT in Nepal
The standard VAT rate in Nepal is 13%, which is preset for convenience. You can change it to any custom rate for other regions or special cases.
